Neko Heavy Industries has been delivering design solutions to our clients for over 20 years; providing graphic design services for personal and professional projects, as well as bespoke tools for artists. Our line of custom sketchbooks and journals can be found at local retailers, craft shows and conventions throughout the midwest, and in our online shop.
what we do
Here at Neko Heavy Industries, we design our products with two main objectives: first, creating a product that we, as artists, would like to use, and second, breathing new life into vintage materials.
Our Original Sketchbook featured removable bindings, a bleed-through protection page, and an elastic closure that allowed the book to fold flat or convert into an easel. Over the years, as our vision has evolved, we have updated our design and expanded our line to include journals, comic art boards and artist trading cards, as well as vintage and imported artist supplies.

Joshua Moore is the creative head of Neko Heavy Industries, with the inspiration for his iconic, refillable sketchbooks coming from his own experience as an artist. "I wanted to create the sketchbook I had been looking for," he said.
A true family business, his wife and son provide administrative support and help out in the workshop, but it's the cat that really runs the show.
